Open Roles:

🎨 UX/UI Product Designer (Mobile App and Website)
Location: Remote (preferably within -3h CET)
Type: Freelance / Part-time / Flexible Hours
#Figma, #Webflow, #PortugueseSpeaking

About the Role
Coflint.com (and our pet wellbeing app, Loopeti) is looking for a UX/UI Product Designer to take over and evolve our existing product design to the next level. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end experience of our mobile app (iOS & Android) and key web touchpoints (Webflow), ensuring that everything feels intuitive, delightful, and consistent with our brand.

You’ll work closely with the founder, developers, and our social/media specialist to translate our product vision into clear user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes — mainly in Figma.

We are a bootstrapped startup with a lean budget. This means autonomy, fast learning, and plenty of freedom to shape the product. It’s a great fit for someone hands-on who wants ownership and enjoys building things from “MVP” to “wow”.

What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for the UX/UI of Loopeti’s mobile app (iOS & Android), from discovery to delivery.
- Map and refine user journeys, flows, and information architecture to keep the experience simple and intuitive.
- Create wireframes, low-fi concepts, and high-fidelity screens in Figma.
- Build and maintain a design system (components, styles, grids, tokens) to keep everything consistent and scalable.
- Prototype interactions and micro-animations directly in Figma (or similar tools) to communicate behavior and transitions.
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure clean handoff (design specs, assets, documentation) and pragmatic solutions.
- Design and iterate key pages for our website/landing pages in Webflow (structure, layout, responsiveness). - Run quick user tests or feedback rounds (internal and external) and turn insights into concrete design improvements.
- Align with marketing/social media on visual language, iconography, and branded assets for campaigns and in-app content.
- Help prioritize features and UX improvements based on user value, technical constraints, and startup reality.

What We’re Looking For
Strong portfolio with mobile app projects (iOS and/or Android) that demonstrate clear UX thinking and visual quality. Solid experience with Figma (components, variants, auto layout, prototypes, design systems). Working knowledge of Webflow or strong willingness to learn it quickly. Ability to balance product thinking (problem, user needs, business goals) with execution (layouts, typography, spacing, hierarchy). Comfortable working from loose ideas and making sense of ambiguity, not just polishing final UIs. Structured and organized: you know how to name layers, keep files clean, and document decisions. Good communication skills: able to explain your design rationale and collaborate with non-designers. Excellent written communication in Portuguese; English is a plus for async collaboration (Spanish is a bonus).

Nice to Have
Experience with or interest in pets, health, wellbeing, or gamification. Basic motion design skills (micro-interactions, simple animations, Lottie, etc.). Familiarity with design for Flutter-based apps (or similar cross-platform frameworks). Experience running or supporting user research (surveys, interviews, usability tests). Understanding of accessibility best practices for mobile and web.

Expectations
Product-first mindset: usability, clarity, and user value come before “perfect Dribbble shots”. Lean startup approach: small iterations, fast feedback, and learning from real usage rather than big redesigns. Autonomy and ownership: you can self-manage your tasks, propose priorities, and push things forward. Collaboration: you’re open to feedback, can discuss trade-offs with developers, and keep stakeholders aligned. Flexibility: we’re evolving fast — some weeks will focus more on app flows, others on Webflow pages or new features.
